WSU students work with local businesses

Washington State University’s Carson College of Business gave recognition last week to three student teams involved in the university’s Business Growth Mentor and Analysis Program, which connects student teams and volunteer business mentors with businesses in need of technical assistance

Two teams were recognized for their work on a growth-assessment project. Students Kelly Hobson, Craig Parsons, Julie Parsons and Samnang Touch worked with Hydraulics Inc., a Vancouver-based business that distributes hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Students Chris Caesar and Jack Quilici were recognized for their work with Maids by Trade, a Portland-based residential cleaning service that uses green products.

The outstanding marketing project team included Nicci Johnson, Nick Scholz, Jana Scott, Kevin Simmons and Nina Wooten. The students worked with Oasis Diagnostics, a developer and manufacturer of saliva-based disease diagnostic tools.
